Free 100$ to invest. Through WealthLift

I found this really awesome app in the Google Chrome App Store.  It's called Wealthlift it has 5 lessons that go over all the information about stocks.  It's probably one of the most useful site's that I have found when it comes to stocks. 


The nice thing about it, is after you complete the lessons they will give you 100$ to invest with.  You ask how could it be possible, who in the heck would give away 100$.  I thought the same thing, I'm always sketchy when it comes to getting something for free.  


After reading into it makes really good sense.


 WealthLift has partnered with diverse brokerage firms to offer special brokerage offers to members who pass our Investor's Quiz. The most prominent offer is $100 free starting capital at OptionsXpress, a Charles Schwab company.  They are interested in helping more people learn about investing and offering a special deal at the end of the quiz is a great way to motivate individuals towards learning.

OptionsXpress stipulates that a recipient of the $100 offer must keep a minimum balance in their trading account for a year after opening. Therefore, any gains from trading can be pulled out however you must invest your starting capital for at least a year. This ensures against people opening an account and withdrawing the funds instantly. Investing with a long term focus is always a good idea for someone who is interested in growing their funds over time.


So it will be a year before you can cash out, but who cares.  Most likely you will have earned more then 100$ at the end of the year anyway.
